St John’s school is located next door to Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, and we have enjoyed a long relationship with each other. Back in the 1940’s before we had a church building and before we were properly established as a parish, all Masses were celebrated at the school in the current school hall.
The priests of this parish have always been a part of the life of St John’s school community. Throughout the school term, the school teachers and students will often join us in our Wednesday morning Mass, assisting with the music, readings and altar serving. Many students at St John’s School will also celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation in our Parish, with the school and the parish working together in the preparation.
